Our vision for the Lake Learning Center is to
create a place where any student or staff member on campus can access help and resources.
It is a place where individuals can ask questions, get help with accommodations or modifications, or work in a quiet setting.
Our mission at LLC is to support all students by offering:
-school-wide screening,
-frequent progress monitoring,
-tiered service delivery,
-fidelity of implementation, &
-building rich relationships with students, staff, & parents in the community
Facilitating the LLC are team members :

Christine Taylor, Education Specialist and Response to Intervention Coordinator

Together, our team's objectives over the next five years are to:
-Reduce student population seen in tier 3 to no more than 10% of the population
-Maintain 80% of services in the general education setting
-Increase universal design access by implementing 1 new technological device each academic school year
-Increase student-led conferences to 100% participation by implementing at least one
Project Based Learning activity each trimester
-Involve all students (grades 5-8) in exploring career pathways by coordinating yearly push-in services with county Workability vocational program.
-Create independent writers by seventh grade, using rubrics and weekly collaboration with elective teachers to connect content to student interests.
- Create independent critical thinkers and problem-solvers by seventh grade, using rubrics and enabling access to STEM-aligned resources, garden, and greenhouse on a weekly basis.
-Decrease off-campus suspensions by 50% by increasing positive character development through implementation of social skills curriculum.
